The word "man" means 1. A full grown male human being. 2. A human being regardless of sex. 3. The human race: mankind. 4. Informal. A. husband, B. A lover or sweetheart. 5. A servant or subordinate. 6. One of the pieces used in a board game, as chess. 7. Often man. Slang. A. policeman. B. white man.
Let's see if I understand this.
1. "A man is a full grown human being." I would say all human beings are "men."
2. "Regardless of sex." Let's see, I think this means anyone, a man or a woman, even those with both sex organs.
3. "The human race. Mankind." Huh, once again every human being is a man.
4. This is a good one. "Informal?" What does that mean? According to Webster's II Dictionary it means:
1. Not following a prescribed form or pattern. An informal debate. 2. Characterized by lack of formality. 3. Of or for ordinary use or communication, casual, informal Language.
So it could be anything, such as a man who looks like a woman on the outside or a woman who looks like a man on the outside. Aren't there many of those around? Have you seen a human being and just can't figure out who they are, a man or a woman?
Look into the mirror, my people. So "A. husband, B. lover or sweetheart" could be any human being, whether they look like a man or a woman.
5. "Servant or subordinate." In some cultures men treat women like princesses and wait on them and are the bread winner. In other cultures, women are the bread winners and men are the princesses.
6. "One of the pieces in a board game, like chess." I will look it up and get back to you. Sarah Palin is in on that with me.
7. "Often man. Slang." Sarah Palin and I will have to get back to you also on that one. I'm a bit confused because there are so many policewomen who are much tougher than policemen.
8. "B. A white man." I guess when this was written black men were still considered to be animals and men of other races were not man yet.
What is a woman? According to the Webster's II Dictionary:
1. The word "woman" means an adult human female. 2. Women as a group: womankind. 3.Characteristic feminine qualities.
Remember what informal means, "not following a prescribed form or pattern, characterized by lack of formality." Now instead of thinking that the two words mean the opposite, I come back to the thought that both words really mean the same. A man could be a woman and a woman could be a man. Remember when I said in a previous posting that a man could be a man on the outside, but really a complete woman on the inside or vice versa? It's something to think about, huh.
Now let's get to the Bible. According to the same dictionary, the word bible means:
1. The sacred book of Christianity, including the Old and the New Testemant. The Old Testament, the sacred book of Judaism. 2. The Bible is a book held as authoritative in it's field.
I am a bit confused here again and need to consult with the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin since she is a Christian who believes in killing wolves and bears for fun and in incest, children sleeping around and showing them off on stage to the whole world. I will have to get back to you because I am so confused here and again it is not clear what what the word within itself is really trying to prevail to me, because why would there be a New Testament and an Old Testament that contradict each other? Were their two Gods or something?
But one thing I know for sure is the Bible is a great book that says "all men are made equal" and "love thy neighbor as thyself," and "only cast a stone if you have never sinned." And it says "God loved all of his children and sent his only begotten son Jesus to die for the sins of all mankind." That doesn't just include Christians who have gay sex in the closet, cheat on their wives, commit incest, and are involved with many many of the church members in sexual activities. Pastors baptize babies born out of wedlock and many people whom they know are gay, but they are willing to live a pretend life with the opposite sex, etc, etc.
Oh, this is my question. One place in the Bible it says a man should not lay down with a man. What does that mean? Because according to the dictionary a man is a human being regardless of sex. Does this mean not sleep on the same bed? Because if that is what it means then a man and woman in a Christian's eyes should not sleep together. Could it really means something else? You know there are so many questions about the Bible that cannot be understood. Yet Christians says it is in the Bible. What is in the Bible, my people? So if you are not a Christian and do not believe in the Bible you should still be held to the teachings of the Bible? Sarah Palin, help me out here, because I thought in America all men are supposed to be treated equally regardless of their religious or race. I just lost my thought.
