My brothers and I

Back in the day a praying lady used to always say a family that prays
together stays together. My brothers and I do not usually pray
together and live very far apart from each other. But we stay in
constant contact. We try to text each other every day, mostly to
talk about silly things. Our oldest brother H. Carey always starts
out with "how are you doing my dear little brother Tony" and ends with "I
love you very much." My brother Alex St. James' saying is "how are you
Higgins?" and ends with "take very good care of yourself." Love you. Just
thinking out loud...we do pray together.

Teenager committed suicide because they are being bullied!!!

Is there anything wrong with being gay or lesbian? What about being a heterosexual who is a complete slut? Anything wrong with either? It is wrong to be interested in the same sex, but okay to be married or not and have sex partners or fuck buddies?

In the Bible it says that a woman should remain a virgin until her wedding night. Ha ha, oh no, the Bible didn't really say that. Does it? Of course it says that. So if it does then all of these so called moral people who are sleeping with women who are having sex when they feel like it and sure are not a virgin on their wedding night are following good morals. What about the men who are marrying these women? Oh, they too have been having sex with men or so many women before their wedding night and think it's okay. But being gay is a sin. Asshole, read the Bible and just use your empty head to concern yourself that if being gay is a sin than being straight is a sin too.

Why so afraid to die!!!

My people, death is something that no man can avoid. The most Godly people die. The most evil who think they can control the entire world also die. Shouldn't death be a beautiful thing? Well, unless you have done something that you think the Lord won't forgive you for it is. God is very forgiving my people. But this does not mean you should commit a major sin and say God will forgive me. Do you think it works that way? Think again.

Why do people say do this or do that for closure? Closure? I have never had closure for anyone whom I loved who has died. The burden gets less but the hole is always there.

If someone kills your loved one, will killing that person give you closure? I don't think so.

We all handle the loss of our loved ones in many different ways, but there is no closure. Love your loved ones today and tell them you love them my people. Don't let it be too late. A big repast will not console you. For those who have lost loved ones like I have, you may not talk about it, but you know it has gotten better day by day, but the void is always there. Huh.

The want to be people

Do you know these kinds of people too? They will say just about anything. Is it true that one should think before speaking? Once someone said to me "People should stay with their kind." I still wonder what this person meant. What about I don't date married men? Or I am in a special class.

Special class? Huh, we all are the same in the eyes of the Lord. And you are never too good or in any special class of people that your family is belittling to you.

What about I want to buy "so so" when you know that you can't afford it? Should they just say "give it to me?"

Is this person a dump bat? Huh.

The American dream

What is the American dream? Is it keeping up with the Joneses or plain stupid with your money? Why are there so many who get killed just trying to get into this country to find the American dream? And they do just that. Buy a home, send the children to school, buy a car and do most of the things that middle class does and they never go broke. Why can't Americans who are born over here do the same?
Is it because the people from other places do just about anything to make ends meet and do not spend all of their earnings in bars and shopping malls?

Should the American dream be doing what you can for yourself and country and not what the country can do for you?

Look around my people, most of those who are making it in this terrible economy are the people from other places like the Third World, my people. Lets follow their footsteps and we can get by too.

Gay teenagers taking their own lives

What a shame that teens have been put into the position by society that they are taking their own lives. Is it because they didn't see any way and they had nobody they trust to talk to? You heard parents on the news saying that they talked about these issues with the child. Are they telling the truth? Did they really accept the child for who he or she is sexually? What about school rolls? Let's not talk about the churches. They probably let them take their own lives.

What is so hard to understand is that most of these so perfect people who think being gay is a sin are the worst sinners out there. Having a child out of wedlock is a sin, having sex before marriage is a sin, divorce is a sin, cheating on your spouse is a sin, masturbation is a sin, lusting is a sin, stealing is a sin, lying is a sin, nudity is a sin, abusing your body is a sin. Should I go on?

All and more of those are sinners. You stupid fool who just thinks same sex doings are the only sin that should not be allowed!

If you can do most or every other unacceptable act according to God and think you are righteous, than you are one of the biggest assholes on the planet and you all plenty.

Let same sex lovers live their lives just as you live yours sinning every second. Stop pointing your finger. Only the Lord knows where you just took it out of, and that was a sin.

Gay and lesbian teens, there is nothing wrong with who you are. Live your life; you are loved by millions and can make a difference in this world. But you have to stay alive. Just say no to the voice that says you have no place on earth. Just reject all of those thoughts and think positive. You see, life can be very beautiful for all, gays or whatever.

A letter from an old friend

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging. Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things. Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.

So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.
So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day(if I feel like it).

Hate so powerful, love can overcome

Eighty-eight years of waste. I can image how the family of James Von Brunn feels to have their loved one and family member all over the news for being such a hateful person. Should there be some law to ban someone from sharing and expressing such hate to others? Oh, I forgot freedom of speech. The ones who were there and went through this horrible experience must be torn in shock, especially since a security guard lost his life.

My people, how can anyone live a life of hate for eighty-eight years? Eighty-eight years of life is a blessing that so many would give so much to have and yet this man blessed with long life and good health may continue for the rest of his life hating others for who they are. To hate is a lot of work my people. One cannot be happy spending time disliking everything because it is different from them or how they want things to be. Of course, it is very disturbing on the other end to be hated for having the right to be born just like all people.

Do you think that all humans as well as animals and plants have a right to exist? I think everything on earth, once conceived in any form, has been given the right to be here. No two people can be the same. Even identical twins are different in some ways. Children from the same parents could look and be completely the opposite of each other. Shouldn't it be beautiful to be different in that respect? There is something very amazing about how things from the same source are the same on the inside, but put out so much individuality. Life is amazing, beautiful, and should be loved, not hated.

I spend so much time on wishing that my parents, the mother of my children, my siblings, grandparents, and other loved ones who have died were here to enjoy my success. I think they left too soon and to see someone who has been blessed with eight-eight years using all of that time to try to get others to hate is unbearable for my soul.

My people, I can't help but wonder what did his parents do that caused him to be so far off from love, peace and respect for others. Now his children and loved ones have to live their life suffering for his actions. Is this when children pay for the sins of their parents?

Stop the hate my people. Try love. Forgive those who do you wrong. It is so much more easy to love than to hate.

Be able to walk up to anyone and say "hi, how are you today? Have a nice day. Good luck in all you do. I love you lots." Try to see the goodness in everything. For those of you who hate so much, try love. Give love some time in your life. It is so beautiful. It is a beautiful feeling to feel that your spirit is happy. Yeah, a happy spirit.

Abortion comes with many mixed feelings

I do not believe in abortion. It is taking away a life. Look around. Everything is alive whether we can see it or not. My people, I believe that it all is for a reason, a reason we cannot and will never understand. Life is so beautiful with all the everyday bustling and hassling we have to deal with. Sperm and the egg have to be alive to give life to the ovum. So then a fetus is life. It is before it becomes a fetus that is a gray area. This is just my silly thought.

However, it is not anyone's place to take another life because they choose to have an abortion. Have you noticed it is always some big time Christian who kills or harms someone because of this? They believe in life, but take away a life. It is senseless in all aspects my people. These people are crazy and do not believe in life at all. A woman should have the right to make her own decision to keep or not keep her pregnancy.

Look around. There are so many unfit parents out there. Some have children to use to get money from the government and some to get someone hooked on them, etc.

Life is beautiful, but if one knows they cannot care for this life they should be allowed to make the right decision.

On the other hand women these days have no excuse getting pregnant and than wanting to get rid of it. These are irresponsible men and women. The men should have the responsibility also to take all precautions to not cause a pregnancy knowing that they don't want a child, can't take care of a child, or are just out there for sex.

Maybe there should be a law against irresponsible pregnancies. Maybe people will think some before spreading their legs or pulling off their pants or whatever they do that leads to an unwanted pregnancy.

Should sex education start as earlier as the fifth grade? No my people, at the third grade. It is that important.

We all need to stop blaming men by saying men are dogs. Women are too. We all should be responsible when it comes to sex.

If you do not want a baby both men and women or teen aged boys and teen aged girls should take precautions before getting into sex with anyone.

Is birth control and even using condoms a form of termination of life? Maybe if life is from before the fetus if sperm and eggs have some form of life.

What if a life is at stake like the mother's or the baby's life or both? Why bring into this world someone who will not be able to care for themselves as an adult? Why? Do you think that those who spend so much time on walking up and down the streets, killing doctors or trying to stop someone from having an abortion should offer to adopt one of those unwanted babies? What about forming some sort of organization that will take in funds for unwanted babies? Something like the adoption agency accepts adopting these babies from these people who do not want them before they are born. Maybe there would be less abortions. Maybe.

Your choices affect everyone, not just you

Does everything that you do affect everyone? What about what you do behind closed doors? Don't take showers, keep your room or house filthy dirty, misspend money, or buy what you don't need especially when you can't afford it, and see how much all that affects others.

People say all the time "let people do what they want." But can people doing what they want affect others in more ways than you can expect?

Look at the banks' decisions, the auto makers, government employees, the politicians, your children, wife, husband, or friend. What about just a neighbor that you hardly know?

If you eat an unhealthy diet it affects everybody else. If you overspend it does. Even when you think it's just a harmless lie, it affects everyone in some way.

Are we all connected in someway or the other? Think again before doing anything like when you pick up that plastic bag at the grocery store or just don't take care of yourself. My people, you are affecting everyone in some way or the other.

Think in a good way before doing anything, especially you the politicians who think your have all of the right answers to questions that you don't really know.

Shock at what he or she did

How well do you know your husband, wife, children, father, mother, brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, etc, etc?

I hear all the time after someone does something terrible that "I am shocked to learn that he or she could do something like that." I have known him or her for many years and they were always happy, playing with their kids, and a very nice neighbor. They stayed by themselves, never bothering anyone, always had a smile for everyone, never said anything bad about anyone. Truly, my people, you did not know that person, especially if you are living in America.

People are dishonest in every little thing they do. They smile when they are mad. They lie and say they like something knowing that they hate it. They put up a big front.

You are shocked my people because you know nothing about that person. Really. You can live in a house with someone for fifty years and let me tell you there is something about that person that you don't know. If you were a fly on the wall in a closed door room and saw what someone was doing in private you would be shocked.
It could be someone you would bet your life on that you know everything about.

Lets not be shocked when we hear that someone we love and think we know has done something terrible. What about something good? We're always amazed with a wow. We didn't know he or she had that in them.

Have you heard someone say "I am shocked at what I did?" Why? It's something to think about. Oh well.

An eye for an eye, what goes around comes around

Does "an eye for an eye" mean that if someone hits you then you should hit them back? What about "what goes around comes around?" Someone breaks into your home; you should break into theirs also.

Maybe an eye for an eye really means treat others as you would like to be treated. And you know we all like to treated with respect and love. What about "no good deal goes unnoticed?" Is that true? How many times have you done something for someone and they looked the other way in favor of someone else?

You love a girl with all your heart, will do anything for her, yet she is in love with some clown.

Could a boy love a boy, a girl love a girl, or a transvestite or bisexual? It sounds complex but it is not. It still applies to all my people.

Is love really blind or do we just refuse to see true love sometimes?

Nonsense on my part. Huh.

Who's riding the back of the bus these days in America?

It has been that minorities, especially blacks, were at the back of the bus in most cases. It was so obvious that most blacks expected it and went along with it.

Then it went to black men at the back of the bus when African females would get a job before a black man.

But now it doesn't matter what color you are. If you are poor, then whether you are white, Asian, black, blue, green, or yellow, you are at the back of the bus. Today's poor people of any color now play the role that blacks used to play.

Can you remember when even a trashy white uneducated person would call a black person a nigger? Some still do, those that slip through without noticing education. My people, now if you are not one of the big boys or girls around your community, trust me you are way, I say way at the back of the bus, maybe just hanging on the bumper.

My people, you have got to know the right people in every aspect of your environment to make it these days. All middle and poor class are at the back of the bus.

Prostitutes

According to the Webster's II dictionary the word "prostitute" means "(n) One hired as a sexual partner", "(v) To offer oneself or another as a paid sexual partner. To devote to an unworthy or debasing cause."

If the definition is right then even wives, lovers and so called partners are prostitutes. A person who walks the street hoping to be picked up for sex and paid is a prostitute. What about a person who hopes to have sex with the boss for a promotion or to get away with things that others can't? What about just someone who dresses in a way to draw sexual attention without giving up their body? Are they also a hooker?

What about a wife who gives her husband sex hoping he would buy her that new dress she has been wanting for some time? Is she a prostitute? If this is true then almost everyone is a prostitute.

We go on and on about how the Europeans are so relaxed when it comes to sex and countries like America are not. Huh, give me a break my people, all you see on TV is sex. Can you name one daytime soap on TV in which sex does not play the biggest part? Okay.

Then that makes all of those producers, not just the porn producers, in a way prostitutes because they are putting sex out there and getting paid for it.

One can be a prostitute in so many ways. Not just the call girls are.

What a world we live in today!!

A man on a bridge in China committed suicide. He held up traffic for four hours. A motorist who got tired of waiting in traffic walked up to the man that was taking four hours to decide when to jump and held out his hand to the suicidal man, and when he give his hand for help the motorist pushed him overboard. He survived the push and the motorist was arrested.

It was very serious, but damn funny. My people, do you think the motorist should be prosecuted?

Always know your surroundings; you just can't trust anyone, can you???

Kris Allen winner of American Idol.

I did not care too much for Kris Allen's performance on American Idol. He was just so so. Adam Lambert is already a star and will make it very big.

After saying that, do you think that Adam really wanted to win? Why did he dress that way? Does he not know that it is not what you can do or say or accomplish that makes it who you are? He should have known that he should have toned it down to get into the door. Did you care for his singing alone or did how he dressed have a part to play in your voting decision? With all this nonsense about Kris won because of all of the young girls who voted for him, so this means there are not that many young lesbian, bi or it girls out there?

My people, I do not believe that the young people of today think like how we did in our days and still do. They do not care about what one does sexually. So lets not blame them. It could have just been that Adam's dressing habit turned people off. Come on, even his dressing had gays and lesbians turned off. If the show was all about just voice then he would have won. We have to remember that just because someone is gay does not mean they will vote for another gay if they do not share the same view. I am sure that many gays and lesbians hated the way Adam dressed and with the pics on the net, I do not think his voice should have been judged by that, but come on, would you want your gay daughter or son to dress that way?

You know my people, even drug users put other drug users down.

It is sad that Adam Lambert did not win, but looking at it the other way, it may be a good thing. Artists too should show a good example in their tastes.

Hopefully, Kris Allen will turn out much better with success than former Idol winners Ruben and Taylor who were dropped from their contracts because of very low music sales.

Trump lets Miss California keep her crown

Huh, oh well I am so surprised. For a second or so I thought a few small things like fairness and honesty would be in force at a beauty pageant. But I guess I was wrong again. Did they change the rules since Vanessa Williams lost her crown for posting nude? Or is it that she is not beautiful enough? Trump said that Miss California was asked a question and she answered it honestly. Okay, what else did Miss California answer honestly? Not about having nude pictures she didn't. Not about how many pictures are out there she didn't, and surely not about lying her way though life about everything.

Does this woman take blame for anything she says or does? And likewise Sarah Palin says she agrees with her. Give me a break here. Sarah Palin who had her 17 year old pregnant daughter all over the media was saying in so many words that it was okay what her daughter did. What about the thousands of young teenaged girls that have gotten pregnant thinking its okay and everything will work out like how it has for Bristol Palin? You know they might not have wealthy parents like the Palins to help them take care of a baby.

Miss California should have given her crown up, not for what she said about gay marriage, but for the many lies she told and still is telling and trying to cover up. What about the rules?

Do you think that this has damaged that beauty pageant? Do you think people will look at the pageant in the same light as fair and honest? Think again...

Should people worry about other people?

I think we should be concerned about what everybody else is doing for the simple fact that what they are doing affects you in so many ways that are unbelievable. You need to be very concerned over not just your loved ones and family, but everybody. Even where they choose to go to the bathroom should be your concern. When someone decides to do something very stupid it's your concern and it can turn into a worry for you. What people spend on what they eat, what they wear, what they drive, where they live, even what makes them happy is your concern and sometimes you should worry because it could cost you money, everything you've got, unnecessary time, even you or your love one's LIFE.

Someone told me the other day that I worry about everybody. He said stop worrying about everybody and just think about yourself. Of course this man does not just worry about others, but not himself as a whole.

It's something to think about...everything we do affects everybody one way or the other.
