Jessica Simpson's dog snatched by coyote

This is getting to be a real problem for pet owners as more and more housing encroaches on wildlife habitats.
Jessica Simpson went on Twitter and tweeted that she watched in horror as a coyote ran off with her Malti-poo named Daisy. The dog was attacked and taken off Monday evening. A neighbor said they heard screaming at her house around 9 PM local time.

I know someone who lives in Spring Creek, Nevada who had her cat taken by a coyote. It's a real tragedy when a beloved pet is lost this way. But after all, it's just instinct on the part of coyotes to look for food, and a small dog or cat can be an inviting and easy target.

I guess that the lesson to be learned here is that if you live anywhere near coyote habitat, watch your small pets very closely. And remember that coyotes range far and wide. They have infiltrated into urban environments as well.

Jessica Simpson has learned the hard way. If you have a small pet, don't you be the next one to learn this sad lesson.

Dogs

A good friend sent me this and I got a real kick out of it.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say its not quite as good as his mother's...

then adopt a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want...

then adopt a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually...

then adopt a dog.

BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness...

then adopt a cat.

LOL. That reminds me of my cat Judy.

Lucky Dog....

A friend emailed this to me. I don't have a link.
This proves again how dogs are loyal to their master. They are as good or better than man as a companion.

Lucky Dog....

Anyone who has pets will really like this. You'll like it even if you don't and you may even decide you need one!

Mary and her husband Jim had a dog named 'Lucky.' Lucky was a real character.
Whenever Mary and Jim had company come for a weekend visit they would warn their friends to not leave their luggage open because Lucky would help himself to whatever struck his fancy. Inevitably, someone would forget and something would come up missing.

Mary or Jim would go to Lucky's toy box in the basement and there the treasure would be, amid all of Lucky's other favorite toys. Lucky always stashed his finds in his toy box and he was very particular that his toys stay in the box.

It happened that Mary found out she had breast cancer. Something told her she was going to die of this disease....in fact, she was just sure it was fatal.

She scheduled the double mastectomy, fear riding her shoulders. The night before she was to go to the hospital she cuddled with Lucky. A thought struck her...what would happen to Lucky? Although the three-year-old dog liked Jim, he was Mary's dog through and through. If I die, Lucky will be abandoned, Mary thought. He won't understand that I didn't want to leave him! The thought made her sadder than thinking of her own death.

The double mastectomy was harder on Mary than her doctors had anticipated and Mary was hospitalized for over two weeks. Jim took Lucky for his evening walk faithfully, but the little dog just drooped, whining and miserable.

Finally the day came for Mary to leave the hospital. When she arrived home, Mary was so exhausted she couldn't even make it up the steps to her bedroom. Jim made his wife comfortable on the couch and left her to nap. Lucky stood watching Mary but he didn't come to her when she called. It made Mary sad but sleep soon overcame her and she dozed.

When Mary woke for a second she couldn't understand what was wrong. She couldn't move her head and her body felt heavy and hot. But panic soon gave way to laughter when Mary realized the problem. She was covered, literally blanketed, with every treasure Lucky owned! While she had slept, the sorrowing dog had made trip after trip to the basement bringing his beloved mistress all his favorite things in life. He had covered her with his love.

Mary forgot about dying. Instead she and Lucky began living again, walking further and further together every day. It's been 12 years now and Mary is still cancer-free. Lucky? He still steals treasures and stashes them in his toy box but Mary remains his greatest treasure.

Remember....live every day to the fullest. Each minute is a blessing from God. And never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards .They are the ones that care for us.

If you see someone without a smile today give them one of yours! Live simply. Love seriously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

A small request: All you are asked to do is keep this circulating.

"Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen"

All you are asked to do is keep this circulating even if it's to one more person .

In memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still fighting their battle.

Isn't that just beautiful?

Molly

You have already seen a picture of Judy. My other cat is named Molly. She is a big girl. I believe she is a Democrat and Judy is a Republican.

Judy believes in using the toilet for all her business and Molly just doesn't care. Molly is very friendly and accepts everyone. While Judy never comes up to strangers, she even knocks on the door when locked out, while Molly will wake up the whole neighborhood just to have someone let her in.

Molly likes all animals while Judy doesn't even like other cats. But what is so amazing is they get along and try to make the best of having to share a home that they both strongly believe is their's and not the other's.

Don't you think if we as people could make some effort to get along with all races and respect each other, this world wold be a much better place?

I am for Obama and believe in his cause, but McCain has a cause and believes in it too. I think it's all kookoo talk, but should I respect his cause like how I want him to respect mine. I think. However everyone should vote for Obama because he will and can do much more for us as a whole than McCain can. Vote for Obama. He is the man.

Judy

Everybody puts a picture of their cats on their blog. Right? Well, I guess I had better get to it. This is one of my cats, Judy, a ten year old domestic long hair who showed up in my back yard when she was a kitten ten years ago. She has lived with me ever since and let me tell you, she is a piece of work.
